Looking Back at Unidev’s History for the New Year

Unidev attributes much of its success to keeping an eye on the future and preparing for whatever it entails. Not only does this mean we are better equipped to help our clients adapt to the ever-changing technology landscape, but we can continue to innovate and help drive the industry forward.

With the New Year upon us, we wanted to look back at how our team has gotten to where we are today!

Our History at a Glance

1990

-Company established as Western Pacific Technologies (Westpac for short). Our first office was located in Florissant, Missouri.

1994

-Employees of Westpac founded Anet, one of St. Louis’ first local internet service providers (ISP).
-Became a Microsoft Partner.

2001

-Rebranded Westpac to Unidev (Unified Development, Inc.). The name came from an employee contest – whoever came up with the best name wins!
-Moved office to Chesterfield, Missouri.

2006

-Acquired The Net Impact to bring an online marketing aspect to the technology of Unidev.

2009

-Launched Auctori, our in-house Content Management System (CMS). We wanted a CMS that was easy-to-use, SEO-friendly, and multilingual.

2010

-Became a certified Google Partner.

2011

-Became a Microsoft Gold Partner.

2012

-Expanded the office in Chesterfield, doubling the size of our workspace.

2013

-Launched WebsiteSentry. This technology ensures secure and efficient hosting through an advanced monitoring system with custom alerts, IP filtering, and routine performance checks.

2015

-Proudly celebrated over 25 years in business!

2018

-Opened a second office in Omaha, Nebraska.

2020

-Celebrated our 30th anniversary in January and then quickly pivoted to a hybrid work-from-home model in March.

2021

-New offices opened in Chesterfield, Missouri, and Omaha, Nebraska in response to the pandemic, changing work environments across industries.
